Latest updates

Welcome to FirstCares (COVID-19) page. Here you will find the latest information about our services during the pandemic, how we are working to protect the wellbeing of customers and staff, what you can do to stay healthy, and what to do if you feel unwell.

Our services are still open

Disability Services have been officially designated as an essential service to our community. Our customers are reminded that FirstCare remains open for our full range of services.

To ensure our customers, visitors and staff remain safe, we are taking extra precautions and changing the way that we operate some services. We are listening to NSW Health and following their advice.

NDIS changes

The NDIS is also adapting to ensure that services are viable for customers and providers. There have been numerous changes to relax the rules around use of supports, automatic extensions of plans and arrangements so that your funding doesn’t run out.

Cancellations

We understand that you may need to cancel your service. If so, please tell us as early as you can. We can change the service to a time that suits you better.

We know that people are anxious about services and we continue to explore options to make them more flexible and in different formats.  If you are thinking about cancelling or changing services, please talk to us first as we may have some options that work for you.
